Hanna and Alex’s wedding in Essaouira Morocco was one of those stories where everything naturally fell into place, as if the location had always been part of their journey.
There are places that feel as though they were made to hold certain stories. Essaouira is one of them: a city shaped by ocean wind, Moroccan light, and a rhythm that makes every moment feel freer and more natural.
The celebration took place at Le Jardin des Douars, one of the most beautiful venues in the surroundings of Essaouira. A setting immersed in the colors and atmosphere of this land, giving the day an authentic and timeless feeling.
Essaouira is one of my favorite cities in Morocco, and returning here to photograph is always a real pleasure. There is something in the ocean wind, in the light, and in the rhythm of this place that makes every story feel deeply alive.
Le Jardin des Douars is a venue I truly recommend to anyone considering a wedding in Morocco. It manages to combine simplicity and elegance, nature and atmosphere, without ever feeling artificial.
Hanna and Alex chose this location not only for its beauty, but also for a personal connection to the area. Alex has known Essaouira for many years: his family has a house here, and over time this place has become something of a second home for him.
And it is precisely this bond that makes their wedding even more meaningful: not just a destination, but a return to a familiar place, full of memories and lived experiences.
It was a simple yet intense day, lived naturally, surrounded by the right people and the unique light of Essaouira. A wedding in Morocco that perfectly reflects what I love to photograph: real stories in places that have a soul.
